Hunger Hill offer back to nature family holidays in cosy Yurts with comfy beds. We have 4 Yurts in a 3 acre field. They share a small holding with pigs, sheep, chickens, ducks and a very friendly dog! The Yurts nestle in the peaceful East Devon countryside, over looking the Otter Valley, not far from Sidmouth and close to beautiful beaches on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. Come and immerse your self in the natural world with campfire cooking, bush craft, foraging, mackerel fishing and picnic’s by the river. Right next to the Yurt field is a unique 3000 acre pebble heath common with foot paths, streams and abundant wild life, all waiting to be discovered. Explore the many different beaches along the Jurassic coast ... from Lyme Rigis to Exmouth there is a different beach for each day of the week!

The Yurts are spacious and furnished with a touch of luxury… In each Yurt there are up to 5 comfy beds with warm feather duvets and cotton sheets, also a well equipped kitchen area with double ringed color gas cooker and furnished with African stools, a low table and decorated Moroccan storage boxes. The Yurts are lit by fairy lights and Moroccan Lanterns. ...with kilim cushions and sheepskins to relax on around a central wood-burning stove it's so warm and cosy at night! |

Outside each Yurt are 2 hammocks, great for stargazing! Also a picnic table and open fireplace with a BBQ grill. The Kitchen There is a large, very well equipped farmhouse style kitchen that you are welcome to use. It has a 6 ringed cooker with oven and a fridge for each Yurt. Tea towels, washing up liquid all provided.. We recycle all rubbish and provide labeled bins to make it easy. |

The showers and toilets Experience the nomadic life style, living close to nature but with the luxury of hot showers! The facilities block houses 2 showers, 2 toilets and 2 basins. Soap, hand towels, toilet rolls and hair dryer are provided , also clothes washing liquid and washing line with pegs. There is also a socket to charge up phones. The Marquee In the centre of the field there’s a pavilion marquee, heated by a wood burning stove and lit with fairy lights, Its furnished with tables and benches and just outside there's a fireplace and BBQ . Its a good spot to get together. Fire Wood All fire wood for the stoves and small camp fires is provided in the form of logs but you will need to chop kindling to get you camp fire and stove going. All wood Is included in the price. |
