| What does Wholeland have to offer yurt dwellers at Hunger
Hill? |
| A chance to get further out of the box and into the
natural world. Have fun learning about nature, gaining skills that develop
self esteem and self reliance. Hear great stories from around the world,
and play games that help us all to connect with the great mystery of life
in a deeper way. |
| Bushcraft
sessions – fire by friction, cordage
making, basketry, safe knife use, whittling and spoon making,
shelter-making, wild-food and medicinal plants… |
| Nature
Awareness – tracking, Earth walks, how to
get closer to wildlife, badger watching, bird language workshops… |
|
Storytelling – enacted myths and fables from around
the world accompanied by an intriguing array of musical
instruments...great for round the fire! |
| Environmental
Art Workshops – get creative with local natural materials and make temporary sculptures,
flags and hangings for your yurt, ‘blobsters’ (the children’s
favorite!), or even baskets to take home with you! |
| Guided
walks – explore the wonders of the Otter
Valley with Chris, who is able to pitch the tone to any age group…wild
food wanders, sea-shore edibles, otter track hunting, or just a fun walk
with a few great activities for all the family along the way! |
